Dr. Richard Eytel, the founder of Dentistry for Children of West Essex, has recently retired from treating patients.
He started this practice with one patient in 1978 and worked many years to build Dentistry for Children of West Essex
and created a child friendly environment with a continuity of staff and fantastic doctors.
Dr. Eytel has personally handpicked all of his associates and remains active in the administration of the practice.
He consults closely with all of the associates to ensure his legacy continues on.
Kevin B. Persily, D.D.S.

Dr. Kevin Persily graduated from Brooklyn College in 1973. He then
attended New York University Dental School and earned his DDS in 1976.
Dr. Persily completed his residency (1979) in Texas with the Army. In
1981 he graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry with his
specialty in orthodontics.
Dr. Persily is a member of the American Dental Association, American
Association of Orthodontists, and the Association of Functional
Orthodontist. Dr. Persily was nominated favorite orthodontist by NJ Moms
in NJ Family Magazine 2013-2020. In his spare time Dr. Persily enjoys
tennis, relaxing, and Mrs. Fields cookies.
Iva Leroy, D.D.S., FAAPD

Dr. Iva Leroy graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2006. She
received her dental degree from Columbia University in 2011 and
thereafter completed her pediatric specialty training at New York
Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University in 2013. She is an active
member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. LeRoy has been nominated in NJ Family Magazine in 2015-2020 as one of
New Jersey's favorite pediatric dentists.In her free time, Dr. Leroy enjoys
traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband, two children, and
friends.
Angie Yoon, D.M.D, FAAPD

Dr. Angie Yoon attended University of Virginia for her undergraduate
studies and University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry for her
dental degree. She graduated top ten of her class and was inducted into
the prestigious Matthew Cryer Honor Society and OKU National Dental
Honor Society. She then completed a one year General Practice Residency
at Montefiore Medical Center and a two year Pediatric Dental Residency
at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Now Dr. Yoon is a
board-certified pediatric dentist who focuses in all aspects of
pediatric dentistry, but what is most important to her is fostering
relationships with her young patients and helping give them healthy and
happy smiles.
Dr. Angie Yoon has been nominated in NJ Family Magazine in 2020 as
one of New Jersey's favorite pediatric dentists. Outside of dentistry,
Dr. Yoon enjoys reading, traveling, playing piano, and spending time
with her husband and her son.
Elliot Nash, D.D.S.
General Dentist
Dr. Elliot Nash graduated from Rutgers University in 2011 and then
obtained his dental degree from Rutgers Dental School in 2015. After
dental school, Dr. Nash completed a one year residency at St. Joseph's
Regional hospital in Paterson NJ where he continued his training in
general dentistry.
Dr. Elliot Nash has been nominated in NJ Family Magazine in 2020 as
one of New Jersey's favorite pediatric dentists.
In his spare time Dr. Nash enjoys exercising, tennis, long-boarding,
cooking and spending time with his nieces and nephews. (Some of you may
recognize Dr. Nash - he was Dr. Persily's assistant while in dental
school.)
Vivian Hwangbo, D.M.D.

Dr. Vivian Hwangbo graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of
Dental Medicine where she earned her doctoral degree in dental medicine.
After dental school, she completed a one-year general practice residency
at Mount Sinai Hospital. She realized her favorite part about dentistry
is providing care for children and making sure they have a fun and
fearless experience. She received her certificate in pediatric dentistry
at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine where she served as
chief resident in her second year. She is an active member of the
American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the city, checking out
restaurants, cooking, and spending time with her husband.
Philip Lee, D.M.D.
NJ Specialty Permit # 6812
Dr. Philip Lee earned his DMD degree from the University of
Pennsylvania. After practicing general dentistry for several years, he
found passion for working with children, and decided to pursue
additional specialty training. Dr. Lee finished his pediatric dental
residency at the University of Alabama, where he received rigorous
training in advanced care for pediatric patients and patients with
special needs. This training allowed him to receive the Richard C. Pugh
Achievement Award for being in the top 3% of the pediatric dental board
examination.
Dr. Lee is excited to care for our patients with all types of dental
needs from preventive treatment to extensive dental care involving
general anesthesia.
Dr. Lee lives in Bergen county with his wife, Dr. Angie, and their children.
In his free time, he likes to play the piano, tennis, and video games.
